Down And Out In The Magic Kingdom - Cory Doctorow I am probably being unfair to this book, having read it immediately after my new favourite book -Makers. DOMK contains, among other things, a fantastic idea (referred to as "whuffie") based on an post-capitalist economy dependant upon social capital rather than material wealth. I would normally find that sort of a concept highly intriguing, and certainly worth some further exploration, but I think I'm a little jaded on big ideas right now. I honestly think I need to come back to this review in about a week's time and try again. In the meantime, of course, I've started a third consecutive Doctorow book (Little Brother).... !
